Buying a used Autel Scan tool, how do I know if it's authentic?

       I have the serial number and pictures but I want to make sure its authentic--how do I know? Can Autel run the serial number and tell me? Also I don't know the model #,  is it MaxiSYS or MaxiSYS Pro????
